Inspired by the current presidential campaign, in addition to Kanye's plans to run for president 2020, we decided to copy the famous poster style used by Obama in his 2008 campaign. The poster was entirely made with Adobe Illustrator and a computer mouse to copy this style. A confused Kanye West was used as a template, because if anything Kanye must be a little bit confused about what's currently going on.
The original Hope poster for Obama's campaign has become an iconic piece of art and was actually created in just one day by artist Shepard Fairey (the same guy behind OBEY). The image became one of the most widely recognized symbols of Obama's campaign message, spawning many variations and imitations, including some commissioned by the Obama campaign. This led The Guardian's Laura Barton to proclaim that the image "acquired the kind of instant recognition of Jim Fitzpatrick's Che Guevara poster, and is surely set to grace T-shirts, coffee mugs and the walls of student bedrooms in the years to come."
In a humorous way, it's soon Kanye's turn. Should a reality TV-star become president 2016 it is not unlikely that a rap "god" could be next, even if it's a very scary thought.
