But if there’s one thing I’ve learned from years in the studio, it’s this – breakthrough moments often happen when you least expect them. When the Vibe Shifts, the Art Follows

I’ve spent most of my life in creative spaces, from running Barron Studios in Houston – where we’ve worked with artists like Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, and Don Toliver – to founding HiFi, a cannabis brand built around curating the right high for the right moment. Along the way, I’ve seen firsthand how cannabis isn’t just an escape – it’s a tool. A catalyst. A way to shift perspective and break creative blocks.

One of my favorite examples? A session where an artist and producer came in with a song idea but couldn’t quite land on the right hook. Tensions rose, and after a small misunderstanding, they decided to take a break. The artist went outside to reset – lit up, took a few hits, and let the smoke settle in. When he came back, he sat at the piano and, without overthinking, started pounding out chords and crooning in this raw, unfiltered way. It wasn’t what they came in to make, but it became the song they needed to make. And it was incredible.

But here’s the thing – he had no idea what he smoked or how it was going to hit. Maybe he needed a sativa to spark the creative fire and get the juices flowing. Maybe he actually needed an indica to calm his nerves so he could let go and let the creativity flow. We don’t know, and he probably didn’t know either. And that sucks. Because when creativity is on the line, guessing isn’t good enough.

That’s why HiFi doesn’t just sell cannabis – we curate it by vibe.
